Instructions for presenters
For each presentation type, there are different instructions for presenters.
You will find them all below. Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us at trendsinbrewing@kuleuven.be.
- Each oral presentation is 20 minutes in duration and includes 15 minutes to present your work (project, research, quality improvement initiative, innovative ideas, …), followed by 5 minutes for questioning by the audience. Please respect this timing, to avoid any delays during the programme.
- We kindly ask you not to bring your own laptop, but to bring your presentation on a USB-key, as a laptop will be provided in the auditory. Changing laptops takes valuable time and might cause technical difficulties. Supported presentation formats are Microsoft PowerPoint and PDF.
- Please be in the auditory 15 minutes before the start of your session, to copy your presentation on the technician’s laptop.
- In the symposium programme, you can see during which timeslot your presentation is scheduled.
- There is 1 poster pitch talk session, on Monday 18 October (17:00 – 17:45).

During a poster pitch talk, you are given 4 min to orally present a short overview of your poster, using maximum 2-3 PowerPoint slides. Please respect this timing, to avoid any delays during the programme.

- Please be in the auditory 15 minutes before the start of your session, to copy your presentation on the technician’s laptop.
- Each presenter in the ‘poster pitch talk’ session, is also expected to be present as poster presenter. Please follow the instructions under “Poster presentations” for this part of your presentation.
- The poster sessions will take place on Monday 18 October 2021 (17:45-19:30) and Tuesday 19 October 2021 during lunch break (12:00-14:00). In the symposium programme, you will see which poster is scheduled in which session.

All posters will be on display the entire conference, but all posters are allocated to one of the three sessions. As poster presenter, we kindly ask you to be present next to your poster during the poster session that your poster is allocated to. This will give you the opportunity to meet and discuss your work with the other symposium delegates.

On one of the poster panels, we will provide the list with poster numbers. Please look up your poster number, and attach your poster to the panel with the corresponding number. Attachment materials will be provided by us.

Posters should be brought to the conference and not mailed. We do not have any facilities to print your poster onsite.

Presenters are responsible for posting and removing their own materials. All posters should be attached to the correct panel before the start of the first poster session (= Monday 18 October, 17:45). The poster panels will be available from Sunday 17 October onwards. All posters should be removed before Tuesday 19 October, 17:00. Posters that have not been removed will not be stored by the organization.

- The max. poster size is A0 (841 x 1189).
- Poster orientation = portrait (Please note that a poster in landscape format will NOT fit on the available panels).
- We advise you not to laminate your poster, as this will complicate attachment
